Manufacturing Excellence Director (Operations, M&R)

The Opportunity
As a Manufacturing Excellence Director you will lead operations consulting work focused on product development and manufacturing, helping clients improve operating models, reduce process bottlenecks, and strengthen speed to market, cost control, and product quality. As a Director you will set strategic direction, guide business growth, and shape executive-level client relationships while mentoring teams and translating vision into practical action within our Operations Consulting practice. In this role at PwC, you will lead client work across manufacturing operations, lean methods, supply chain integration, and digital tools, bringing together commercial insight and technical judgment to support meaningful improvements in performance and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Setting strategic direction for manufacturing excellence engagements across product development and manufacturing operations
- Leading client discussions on manufacturing strategy, operating model design, and performance improvement opportunities
- Developing recommendations that improve throughput, reduce cost, and increase quality across manufacturing processes
- Guiding lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process simulation efforts to identify bottlenecks and streamline production flow
- Advising on product lifecycle management, production control, and product roadmap alignment to support launch and scale objectives
- Applying manufacturing cost analysis, supply chain integration, and procurement insights to improve operational performance
- Advancing digital tooling, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled methods to modernize manufacturing processes and decision making
- Driving business development activities by identifying market opportunities and shaping differentiated service offerings
- Building executive client relationships and steering multiple workstreams through complex operational transformation efforts
- Collaborating across the PwC Network to extend manufacturing solutions and strengthen delivery across industries
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 9 years of experience

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
