About Creative Excellence: 

The Creative Excellence Service Line helps our clients attain best-in-class advertising that drives business results.  We do this by aiding Creative Development (help with creating advertising), Creative Assessment (help with assessing advertising and providing guidance to improve it) and Creative In-Market (ad tracking once the advertising is launched) Advertising Platform Effectiveness (helping advertising sellers understand effectiveness on their platforms).

What makes this role important at Ipsos: 

Our Creative Excellence team supports and advises ad sales clients through the entire process to reach their business goals – from attracting media buyers, to demonstrating ROI to their customers, to proving campaign effectiveness.  As a senior account manager on the advertising platform research team, you will be joining a passionate and entrepreneurial group of advertising experts dedicated to delivering impactful business solutions to the world’s biggest brands.  

You will partner with clients in tech, media, gaming, and more to understand the advertising buyer journey, proving campaign effectiveness across platforms, and determining communication strategies to ad buyers.  

The Director of creative research and insights acts as both a strategic advisor to our clients and an essential team lead. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and proven approaches, you will lead your team from research design through results delivery.  The ideal candidate independently manages and executes fully customized advertising research, bringing a keen eye to detail, experience with advanced methodologies, and ability to develop a research design from scratch.

What you can expect to be doing: 

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor with a focus on growing the business through impactful solutions rooted in quantitative and qualitative market research techniques 
  • Lead a team through impactful solutions, project execution, and deliverables to meet and exceed client objectives related to their advertising research needs  
  • Lead and manage strategic approaches to research design, insights development, data visualization, and storytelling that brings data to life 
  • Act as a service line mentor and champion to foster team collaboration, development, and expertise through purpose-driven leadership 
  • Identify operational efficiencies and empower the team to implement on a consistent basis 
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members, may act as manager to one or more account managers 
  • Lead questionnaire design, analyzing data, and interpreting results that provide clear and actionable insights and recommendations    
  • Contribute to team growth through new business development and expanded partnerships 
  • Participate in initiatives that support our service line (i.e., growth/new product/employee training & engagement) 

This might be the job for you if you have: 

  • At least 6 years of experience in market research, advertising, marketing, or consumer insights  
  • Experience in ad sales marketing, media or tech a plus 
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher; Business, Marketing or Communications Degrees preferred  
  • Experience leading a high performing team  
  • Experience working with large datasets, complex logic, and extracting meaningful insights 
  • A client-driven and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously   
  • At least 3 years experience with quantitative research, including survey design, sampling plans, analysis, and delivery 
  • Some experience with qualitative research, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and analyzing qualitative research    
  • At least 3 years of project management experience  
  • Strong communications skills: you know how to translate complex data into easy to understand and actionable insights 
  • An understanding of advanced analytics 
  • A keen eye for design/visual storytelling 
  • Ease and confidence with “thinking on your feet” – can lead a workshop with a group of senior executives  
  • Complex survey design, sampling plans, proposals, analysis, and delivery 
  • Knowledge of advertising sales platforms and desire to tackle challenging problems 
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills  
  • A track record of leading proposals and new business development  
  • Proficiency with MS Office & Google Workplace (Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, and Slides) 
  • Proficiency with survey building tools

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
