Base Compensation Range: $63,000.00 to $78,750.00 USD
 
This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

Job Summary:

The Marketing Communications Specialist works independently on assigned projects and campaigns, applying professional judgment to develop content, selects appropriate communication approaches, manages project requirements, and evaluates results. This role uses marketing data, customer insights, and established brand and marketing strategies to recommend and implement improvements to communications, and campaign effectiveness.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Content Development

  • Develop high-quality content across digital and traditional channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, thought leadership, promotional materials, and press materials.
  • Translate technical, product, and business information into clear and compelling content appropriate for target audiences.
  • Ensure messaging and content align with established brand standards, marketing strategies, business priorities, and audience needs.
  • Independently manage assigned content projects from concept through completion, coordinating reviews and approvals with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Edit and proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and brand alignment.

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Develop and execute assigned marketing communications campaigns across multiple channels in support of established marketing objectives.
  • Determine appropriate content, messaging, and communication approaches for assigned campaigns within established brand and marketing strategies.
  • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, stakeholder inputs, and execution to ensure projects are completed effectively and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Product Management and Sales, to develop cohesive campaign materials and messaging.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to improve engagement and effectiveness.

Public Relations & External Communications

  • Support development and distribution of press releases, external communications, and other public relations materials.
  • Coordinate with external partners, media contacts, or agencies as appropriate for assigned communications activities.
  • Prepare supporting materials for media interactions and external communications.
  • Ensure external communications accurately and consistently represent company messaging and brand standards.

Digital & Social Media

  • Develop and manage content for company social media and digital communication channels.
  • Monitor digital and social media engagement and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend content and channel adjustments based on performance metrics, audience behavior, and marketing objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging digital marketing trends and identify relevant opportunities for application.

Market Insights & Campaign Optimization

  • Gather and analyze market research, competitive information, customer insights, and campaign performance data to support marketing communications activities.
  • Apply insights to improve messaging, content, and campaign execution.
  • Track key performance indicators for assigned campaigns and communication initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing campaign results, key findings, and recommended improvements.
  • Use data and professional judgment to recommend actions that improve communication effectiveness and audience engagement.

Event & Program Support

  • Develop and execute communications and promotional materials for trade shows, conferences, customer events, and other external engagements.
  • Coordinate communication activities and deliverables with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Develop promotional content and supporting materials to increase event awareness and engagement.
  • Support post-event communications and follow-up activities.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders to execute marketing communications initiatives.
  • Manage multiple communications projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and coordinating resources to meet deadlines.
  • Work with external agencies, vendors, and other partners to support assigned projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve communications processes, content development, and project execution.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to support consistent and effective marketing communications.

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically 2–4 years of professional experience in marketing communications, content marketing, digital marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Experience independently managing marketing communications projects or campaigns from development through execution.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business, product, sales, or other internal stakeholders preferred.

Knowledge & Skillsets Required

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of marketing communications principles, content development, branding, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, email marketing, and related tools.
  • Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear and engaging communications for different audiences.
  • Ability to analyze campaign and engagement data, draw conclusions, and recommend improvements.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions within established marketing strategies and guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant marketing, content management, social media, or analytics platforms.
