You’ll partner across marketing to turn strategy into compelling content for social, digital campaigns, SDR outreach, product marketing, and other go-to-market programs while building prompts, reusable frameworks, and quality standards that improve consistency, speed, and scale.

What we’re looking for
SMG is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist, AI-enabled who can combine strong writing, software-industry experience, and practical AI fluency to help the marketing team create better content, faster. You’ll partner across marketing to turn strategy into compelling content for social, digital campaigns, SDR outreach, product marketing, and other go-to-market programs while building prompts, reusable frameworks, and quality standards that improve consistency, speed, and scale.
What you’ll do
- Draft, write, and edit both AI-generated and original content across digital formats, applying strong storytelling to keep content clear, engaging, and aligned with campaign goals.
- Translate marketing briefs and strategic direction into compelling written content across digital channels.
- Build, review, and refine AI outputs for tone, consistency, and effectiveness so all content meets brand and quality expectations.
- Develop structured prompts, reusable frameworks, and AI-enabled workflows that help the marketing team scale content more efficiently.
- Track content performance metrics and use insights to guide future strategy and improve results.
- Stay current on platform trends and AI tools, applying best practices that strengthen workflow efficiency and content quality.
- Collaborate with marketing team members to support campaign messaging, content planning, and execution timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve content processes and share AI trends and best practices with the broader team.
- Within 30 days, build fluency in SMG’s brand, platform, audience, and current content workflows while contributing to active marketing initiatives.
- Within 60 days, create effective prompts and repeatable AI-assisted content processes that improve speed, consistency, and quality across multiple content types.
- Within 90 days, independently produce high-performing content and help scale AI-enabled workflows across key go-to-market programs.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2–3 years of experience in content development, digital marketing, or communications in the software industry
- Strong writing and editing skills across digital formats, with demonstrated strength in storytelling and content creation
- Hands-on knowledge of large language models such as ChatGPT and AI-assisted content tools, including structured prompting and workflow application
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, content performance metrics, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building reusable prompt frameworks, custom GPTs, or AI-supported content systems for a marketing team
- Strong proofreading skills and demonstrated ability to translate strategic concepts into clear, engaging written content
