JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing Coordinator will support the day-to-day marketing efforts for the CARSTAR brand across Canada. This role serves as a key point of contact for franchisees, helping execute local marketing programs, support store onboarding initiatives, manage marketing administration, and ensure brand standards are maintained across the network. 

 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Programs, the Marketing Coordinator will work closely with franchisees, internal cross-functional teams, agency partners, and more to drive marketing initiatives that support store growth, customer acquisition, and brand awareness. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as a primary marketing contact for CARSTAR franchisees, responding to day-to-day marketing requests and providing guidance on available marketing programs. 

  • Partner with franchisees and operations leaders to support local store marketing efforts and community engagement initiatives. 

  • Assist franchisees with campaign execution, promotional opportunities, sponsorships, and local advertising recommendations. 

  • Coordinate requests and communication between franchisees, agency partners, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of marketing-related inquiries. 

  • Lead and support presentations for franchisee meetings, onboarding sessions, conferences, and regional events to drive understanding, participation, and execution of marketing initiatives. 

Local Marketing & Brand Activation 
  • Assist in the development and execution of local store marketing campaigns and grand opening initiatives. 

  • Support community relations, sponsorship activations, and local event planning efforts. 

  • Coordinate marketing materials, promotional assets, and campaign deployment across the franchise network. 

  • Track and report on local marketing participation and campaign performance. 

  • Help identify and share franchisee success stories and best practices throughout the network. 

New Store Onboarding 
  • Support marketing onboarding for newly acquired and newly opened locations. 

  • Coordinate onboarding timelines, welcome communications, and marketing setup activities. 

  • Facilitate the transition of locations into brand marketing programs and digital platforms. 

  • Ensure stores have access to required marketing resources, tools, and brand assets. 

Social Media & Content Development 
  • Support brand social media channel management, including content mapping and community engagement. 

  • Assist in content creation for blogs, website updates, and promotional materials. 

  • Monitor social media performance and recommend opportunities for optimization. 

  • Create engaging written content for newsletters, marketing campaigns, franchisee communications, and other brand initiatives. 

Marketing Operations & Administration 
  • Support development of marketing reports, calendars, and project trackers. 

  • Support conference planning, franchise meetings, and marketing events. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Experience Required 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. 

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, franchise marketing, agency account management, or a related field. 

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 

  • Experience managing social media channels and content calendars. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. 

  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. 

 

Preferred 
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken 

  • Experience supporting franchise, multi-unit, retail, automotive, or service-based businesses. 

  • Familiarity with local store marketing and community engagement initiatives. 

  • Experience processing invoices, tracking budgets, or supporting marketing financial administration. 

  • Experience working with social media management and email marketing platforms. 

  • Agency experience or experience working with external vendors and creative partners. 

 

Travel 

  • Ability to travel occasionally for franchise meetings, conference, and special events (approximately 15%).

Compensation Range:

$57,600.00 - $102,900.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
