About Rundoo ℹ️

Our mission is to empower independent supply stores with best-in-class technology. Think of your local hardware store or mom-and-pop nursery—these are our clients. From paint to lumber to flooring, over 200,000 such stores across the country sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. We’re aiming to help them modernize so that they can continue to thrive.

Backed by leading investors including Battery, Bessemer and CRV, we've raised $48M across four rounds and are growing quickly: We're live in over 500 stores across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean, and integrated with over 20 industry partners. Our team is made up of builders, sellers, and industry veterans with a shared goal: to bring modern technology to an overlooked industry.

Why Waterloo is one of our primary hiring channels 🎓

At Rundoo, hiring Waterloo students for co-ops who come back full-time after graduation is core to how we build our team. Waterloo's unique blend of rigorous academics and hands-on co-op experience produces builders who have immediate impact and grow quickly — and that holds just as true for GTM Engineering as it does for core Engineering.

We're looking for our first GTM Engineering intern to help prove out this pipeline. If it's a fit, we're committed to hiring more each term and building the function around you.

What You'll Achieve with Us: Ship Marketing Agents and Automations 💼

This isn't about busywork or one-off decks — you'll be building the agents and automations that power how Rundoo markets itself, and you'll see your work go live every day!

  • Agent & Workflow Development: Help build and maintain automations/agents that generate marketing content — ads, emails, social posts — at scale.

  • Campaign Instrumentation: Support instrumenting and monitoring live campaigns so every program can be traced back to pipeline and ARR impact.

  • Attribution & Reporting: Help map marketing-sourced and -influenced leads through the funnel — MQL → SQL → Opp → Closed Won.

  • Content Systems: Prototype reusable templates/agents for recurring content types (magazine ads, digital postcards, newsletter banners, social posts, flyers) supporting our vertical GTM motions.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Head of Marketing, CEO, and vertical PMs to keep automations grounded in real campaign needs.

Hard requirements ✅

  • You're comfortable writing code and can show us a GitHub with example work.

  • You're genuinely excited about applying AI/agents to marketing problems — not just interested in marketing as a discipline.

  • You're a self-directed builder who can turn a rough campaign idea into a working automation.

  • You give in-the-moment feedback to your teammates and enjoy receiving the same.

Nice to have ⭐

  • Experience deploying simple apps/services (Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, Coder.dev, or similar).

  • Familiarity with marketing/growth concepts (MQLs, attribution, funnel metrics).

  • Comfort working with LLMs (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) to build end to end workflows.

Compensation 💵

  • Base Salary: $98k base; $111k OTE

Benefits 🏋️

  • Our office is located in Redwood City, CA, an 8-minute walk from Caltrain.

  • Dog-friendly office! Meet the Rundogs

  • There are plenty of housing options available nearby

  • We'll cover your flight from Canada to the U.S., including up to 2 pieces of luggage

  • We'll also handle your J-1 Visa sponsorship

  • Health: $100/month gym stipend

  • Meals: Free daily in-office lunch (~$1,000/3 months)

  • Learning: Book/course stipend, Libro.fm audiobooks, Coursera access

  • Culture: Fast-paced, collaborative, product-focused

Interview Process 🎤

  1. Application – must include a GitHub account with example work.

  2. Intro Call (20 mins) – Meet Amanda to learn more about each other, and talk through your interest in marketing + AI agents. We'll ask you to open a terminal and show how you'd spin up a simple content-creation agent based on Rundoo.ai messaging.

  3. Live-coding session + chat with Titus (45 min) – Titus will walk you through titus.doo.run and our GitHub marketing repos, then dive into one of the agent use cases he relies on most. Together you'll dig into how it works and where you'd improve what he's built.

  4. Final Call (15 mins, remote) – Conversation with our CEO, Nick.

Meet the Team 👥

  1. Nick (CEO): studied math & computer science at Stanford; worked as a trader at Bridgewater & Citadel and as a PM at Google & Enigma

  2. Titus (Head of Marketing)

  3. Your peer GTM/vertical PMs

About our founders 🌲
  1. Andrew (CTO): studied computer science & humanities at Stanford, worked as a software engineer at Apple and head of engineering at Anova; danced with the SF ballet (where he met his wife)! 🩰

  2. Nick (CEO): studied math & computer science at Stanford; worked as a trader at Bridgewater & Citadel and as a PM at Google & Enigma; distantly related to the founder of the Hershey company 🍫

How we've fundraised 💰

We've raised $48m across four rounds:

  1. A $2m pre-seed led by Kent Bennett at Bessemer with participation from Plug & Play, Quiet Capital, and Sequoia.

  2. A $5m seed led by Caitlin Bolnick Rellas at CRV.

  3. An $11m series A led again by Bessemer and CRV.

  4. A $30m series B led by Battery.
