Introduction

Foundation is hiring our first marketer to accelerate our core business, modernize homebuilding, and transform the experience of buying, selling, and owning homes.

About Foundation

Backed by ~$6.8M in funding from leading VCs (including Y Combinator), Foundation is an ex-Opendoor team transforming residential real estate.

Foundation’s first product is the customer experience platform for homebuilders — think “Shopify for Homebuilders.” We work with enterprise-scale homebuilders to deliver a modern digital customer experience, dramatically improving both their customer happiness and the productivity of their teams. In two years, we’ve demonstrated clear product-market fit and rapid growth — all with zero professional marketing.

We’re still in the first of three overlapping phases of growth and company-building:

  1. Transformative, AI-driven vertical SaaS for homebuilding — a public-scale opportunity in its own right.

  2. The enterprise ecosystem for real estate. Homebuilders are the economic engine that starts and fuels this flywheel, unlocking an order-of-magnitude larger opportunity. This ecosystem fosters collaboration between (and network effects with) adjacent trillion-dollar industries — lending, title, home insurance, home services, retail, and more.

  3. The AI-native home operating system and interface. The economic engine of vertical SaaS and the network effects of the enterprise ecosystem fund and fuel the flywheel that enables us to (profitably) deliver the transformative consumer AI experience for homebuyers and homeowners. Find, buy, and operate your home — all with Foundation.

Foundation’s First Marketer

We’re hiring our first marketer. We’re looking for a hands-on, impact-obsessed, AI-accelerated marketer who wants to transform a major pillar of the U.S. economy — and help redefine marketing for the AI era.

The Job

You’ll play a central role in driving Foundation’s next stages of growth — working at the intersection of AI, marketing, and real estate transformation. Here’s our expected order of operations:

  1. Rapidly accelerate the growth of our core product line: the AI-native stack for the homebuilding industry. This is vertical SaaS: whitepapers, testimonials, product marketing, outbound, OOH, and more. You’ll help tell the story of how Foundation is redefining homebuilding, and — because our customers genuinely love what we’re building — you’ll have strong tailwinds from day one.

  2. Transform how homebuilders market and sell homes. Homebuilders don’t have access to Silicon Valley-grade marketing, technology, or design. You’ll help us change that — using Foundation’s products, playbooks, and expertise to give them superpowers.

  3. Seed the network. You’ll help define, launch, and scale our first ecosystem products, expanding beyond homebuilding into the adjacent industries that power homeownership. We have a strong thesis on what comes first, but you’ll be a key part of the discovery, shaping, and delivery process to determine how we build out this ecosystem.

  4. Be a partner as we discover, shape, and grow the native AI for homeowners. From home finance to home services to home automation and beyond, this is a generational experience.

Throughout, you’ll also play a hands-on role in shaping our products — you’ll be an active voice in the product, design, and engineering process.

The Requirements
  • You have 7-10+ years of experience as a marketer at high-growth, venture-backed technology companies.

  • You are both strategic and tactical; you think big but love to get your hands dirty.

  • You love getting to know new customers and new markets, you turn to AI from Day 1, and you’d rather hire AI agents than humans (to start with, at least).

  • Even if you have specialties, you’re comfortable as a generalist — you’ll be building a 0-to-1 marketing program for a huge enterprise vertical (homebuilding) on the fly. This includes outbound, product and content marketing, and fueling enterprise sales teams.
