SWA, an internationally recognized landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm, is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager for its waterfront Sausalito studio. Our diverse portfolio encompasses domestic and international projects of various scales and client types. A candidate’s ability to capture the entrepreneurial spirit of SWA will determine their success.

We are looking for a creative and resourceful professional who takes pride in being well organized and enjoys the challenges of a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and will have 3+ years of relevant marketing experience, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and senior management. The Marketing Manager must have great written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail. A grasp of current industry-related best practices with an innate curiosity and ability to learn quickly is vital to this candidate’s success at SWA.

Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate strong graphic/communication skills and experience preparing RFQ/RFP responses using desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.).

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete beautifully written and presented draft and final RFP and RFQ responses, proposals and other marketing collateral, meet deadlines for all submittals and work under the guidance of the Associate Principals and Principals.
  • Prepare interview decks, project tearsheets, resumes, and bios; keep all material organized and up to date.
  • Project manage and complete the preparation of award submissions.
  • Coordinate with the Firmwide Marketing & Communications team including support of social media efforts.
  • Assist principals and associate principals on media/publications, professional appearances, and outreach initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other marketing professionals, consultants and strategic partners to assist in creating the most strategically positioned and technically competent team.
  • Research project opportunities and assist with pre-positioning; strategize and connect with potential new clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, plus documented professional experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with marketing and proposal coordination within the design industry; Local candidates preferred.
  • Demonstrated graphic design/desktop publishing skills
  • Exceptional written, oral and visual communication skills
  • Ability to self-direct and successfully manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail (including spelling and grammar)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Compensation:

$90,000+ / annual salary.
