Chicago, IL based position

A hospital finance leader, supply chain director, and clinical department manager may use OpenMarkets for different reasons. One needs visibility into capital spending. Another needs equipment standards followed across facilities. Another needs an easier way to find equipment and get a quote.

We’re hiring a Marketing Manager who can understand those differences and explain where OpenMarkets helps.

Our software supports capital planning and approvals through CapConnect, approved equipment search and quoting through Formulary, and sourcing and negotiation through Optimizer.

What you’ll work on

Much of our growth has come through relationships and referrals. Our next step is to turn the knowledge inside customer conversations into clear messaging and focused outreach to hospitals that don’t know us yet.

As our first dedicated marketing hire, you’ll:

  • Interview customers about how they plan and purchase equipment, then develop credible stories and proof points from their experience.
  • Explain how our products work together and what matters most to each buyer.
  • Turn that messaging into website pages, customer stories, product one-pagers, presentations, and emails.
  • Work with Sales on campaigns for an agreed list of target hospitals and health systems.
  • Coordinate event materials, logistics, outreach, and follow-up.
  • Use HubSpot to track which efforts produce relevant conversations and qualified opportunities.

You’ll begin with customer research, core messaging, and materials for active sales conversations, then build a manageable campaign calendar.

What you’ll bring

You’ve delivered marketing work in a small B2B company or a similarly hands-on role. You can interview someone about a complicated process, recognize the useful details, and write something their peers would want to read.

You’re comfortable choosing priorities, producing the work yourself, and adjusting based on buyer feedback. Healthcare marketing and HubSpot experience are helpful.

Who you’ll work with

Sales brings account priorities and questions from prospects. Customer Success brings customer relationships and firsthand knowledge of how hospitals use OpenMarkets. Product and implementation colleagues help keep the story accurate.

Your job is to turn that input into marketing that helps the right buyers understand OpenMarkets and take the next step. We’ll measure progress through qualified meetings and opportunities, event follow-up, and content used in real sales conversations.
