About DemandTec

DemandTec is the Commercial Trade Intelligence (CTI) platform where retailers and their 7,800+ CPG partners plan, fund, execute, and reconcile every trade dollar on one shared data model. We're the category creator in a $500B+ trade-spend market that has run on disconnected systems for decades, and we're scaling fast: a newly named and analyst-validated category, a rebuilt in-house revenue engine, and an aggressive FY27 target of 10–15 new retail grocery wins. Marketing runs lean and AI-first. Every event, campaign, and asset is built to convert directly into pipeline and ROI.

The Role

DemandTec is hiring a Marketing Specialist to drive campaigns, digital marketing, social media and demand generation focused on our CPG customer base for the Commercial Trade Intelligence (CTI) platform. You'll build and run HubSpot campaigns, own CPG-facing social content, and support growth/demand-gen programs that turn CPG brand and broker audiences into qualified pipeline.

This role partners closely with the events, brand, product marketing and sales to make sure CPG-specific messaging, campaigns and content are consistent, on-brand, and tied to pipeline outcomes. You'll report to the SVP of Marketing under the CMO's CTI-first strategy.

Requirements

What You'll Own

Campaigns & Demand Generation

  • Build, launch, and manage multi-touch email and nurture campaigns in HubSpot targeted at CPG buying-committee personas (category managers, trade marketing, finance, sales operations)
  • Support demand-gen programs (webinars, content syndication, ABM plays) with a specific lens on CPG accounts, including upsell and cross-sell motions to expand and accelerate opportunities withing existing customers
  • Track campaign performance against the funnel (Influenced → MQL → SAL → SQL → Opportunity) and report out in HubSpot

Social Media

  • Own day-to-day social execution (primarily LinkedIn) for CPG-focused content pillars: retail + CPG collaboration, trade fund optimization, promotions, and lifecycle pricing
  • Draft and schedule 2–3 posts/week aligned to the broader content calendar and brand voice
  • Support event amplification (pre/on-site/post) for CPG-relevant events such as Groceryshop and the Category Management Conference

Growth Marketing

  • Assist with website landing pages, forms, and conversion-path optimization for CPG-targeted campaigns
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing on CPG-specific messaging, case studies, and sales enablement assets
  • Monitor and report on campaign/channel performance, flagging optimization opportunities

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, retail, or CPG-adjacent industries
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or comparable marketing automation/CRM) for campaign builds and reporting
  • Experience managing LinkedIn or other B2B social channels
  • Familiarity with demand-gen fundamentals (funnel stages, lead scoring, campaign attribution)
  • Strong writing skills and comfort adapting brand voice across channels
  • Detail-oriented project management; able to run multiple campaigns/content pieces at once

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing specifically to CPG brands, manufacturers, or brokers
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) programs
  • Exposure to retail/grocery trade shows, industry events and associations (CMA, FMI, NRF, NACS)

How Success Is Measured

  • CPG-sourced/influenced pipeline and campaign-to-opportunity conversion, tracked in HubSpot
  • Social engagement quality and content pillar consistency
  • Campaign execution speed and quality
  • Cross-functional feedback from Sales and Product Marketing on asset/messaging relevance
