This position is based on-site at our Corporate Office in Redwood City, CA. Following the successful completion of meeting performance expectations, you may request a hybrid work arrangement of up to two remote days per week, subject to approval from your supervisor.


POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of Monterra Credit Union’s Marketing Team, the Marketing Specialist supports growth across the Credit Union’s core products and services, including credit and debit cards, membership, auto and mortgage lending, and other offerings. Working closely with the Product Marketing Lead, this role helps execute marketing initiatives that drive adoption and usage of both digital products and services, as well as overall product adoption. The Marketing Specialist leverages campaigns and channels that support card acquisition and utilization, digital engagement, and new member growth, ensuring the effective and timely execution of marketing tactics through automated platforms such as Visa Campaign Solutions, SMS/text automation, the website content management system, and other communication channels with the goal of increasing product penetration, member engagement, and overall usage of Monterra Credit Union’s products and services.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective and timely execution of marketing tactics through automated platforms, including but not limited to Visa Campaign Solutions, SMS/text automation, email, website and ATM content management system, and other communication channels as needed.
  • Writes, proofreads, and edits creative and technical content, ensuring consistent adherence to brand standards across multiple channels.
  • Communicates performance of campaigns, products and/or services as well as provides data from specific channels in order to maximize the management of the resource.
  • Uses a data warehouse, MCIF system, or third-party systems along with other data tools and resources to target key audiences.
  • Monitors marketing analytics to identify target audiences and areas for growth.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, external partners, agencies, and vendors to develop and execute strategic marketing programs that drive product penetration and expand field of membership growth.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the platform/software utilized to increase product adoption, market awareness and/or brand identity.
  • Thoughtfully prioritizes as well as efficiently utilizes marketing resources in order to launch marketing campaigns that are in support of reaching strategic goals.
  • Identifies areas of potential process improvement and initiates action towards implementing improvement.
  • Provides service that aligns with the Credit Union’s mission of delivering timely, relevant products, services, and information aimed at increasing adoption and engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and laws enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, benchmarks and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Excel). Visa DPS as well as CRM experience is a plus.
  • Proficient at analyzing complex data and metrics and interpreting actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, facilitate constructive discussion and challenge opposing viewpoints when necessary.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel within the organization.
  • Great program development and project management skills; well-organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong visual sense with the ability to evaluate graphic layouts for both style and impact.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritizations skills with the ability to handle multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • Conducts activities and interactions in a manner that promotes integrity, trust, and strong ethics, in order to protect the reputation of the organization and brand.
