Work Environment: On-site, 4-5 days in the office

Location: San Francisco, CA

Salary Range: $70-80K

Who we are: Since 2006, MIXT has been showing the world the way to salad. We source fresh, sustainable ingredients, prepare them in-house from scratch, and build healthy, delicious meals our guests love.  We were founded and are headquartered in Downtown San Francisco. As a certified B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. The result is a restaurant that reimagines what it means to eat real food, propelling a healthier world.

With locations in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Texas, MIXT is more than just a workplace—we're a family. We believe in fostering purpose and growth, which is why we prioritize promoting from within and empowering our team members to reach their full potential. If you're looking for a company where you can grow, a team that’s both fun and hardworking, and a brand dedicated to inspiring a love for healthy eating, MIXT is the place for you.

The role: We are looking for a creative thinker and outgoing marketer to serve as the visual storyteller and content engine for MIXT. In this role, you’ll own our social media channels from concept to creation, design and deploy our weekly emails, bring local marketing activations and new store openings to life, and help concept and execute brand partnerships.

We need someone who can execute clever, strategic marketing campaigns that translate directly into driving awareness, trial, and brand loyalty for our restaurants. The ideal candidate isn't just great at creating social media content—you are a natural in front of the camera, eager to learn, bring creative ideas to the table, and ready to contribute from day one.

We operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and rewarding environment. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

Email Marketing & Digital Design

  • Email Strategy & Production: Conceptualize, design, and execute high converting weekly email campaigns. Strategically pitch and develop innovative content ideas that push brand boundaries, drive guest engagement, and align with overall business objectives.
  • Local Marketing Collateral: Oversee the visual execution of local marketing initiatives, independently designing and producing multi-channel assets for new store openings, store-level promotions, and co-branded partner activation.

Social Media Ownership & Content Creation

  • Social Strategy & Direction: Direct and own MIXT’s narrative across Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging social platforms. Conceptualize, write, and produce high-caliber content that elevates brand positioning and drives audience growth.
  • Campaign Execution: Translate overarching business and marketing campaigns into distinct social-first creative strategies. Exercise independent artistic judgement to develop compelling visual assets  (video, photography, and graphics) tailored for platform-specific engagement.
  • Field Art Direction & On-Site Media Creation: Serve as the lead visual storyteller on-location during store activations, photoshoots, and community events, independently directing and capturing real-time brand content.
  • Trend Forecasting & Brand Evolution: Continuously bring proactive inspiration, emerging trends, and fresh ideas to evolve MIXT’s visual identity and keep content ahead of the competitive curve.
  • Social Analytics & Optimization Analyze digital performance metrics and audience insights to inform future creative decisions, refine content distribution strategy, and drive long-term channel ROI.

Community & Partnerships

  • Influencer Strategy & Creator Relations: Lead MIXT’s influencer strategy to identify,  vet, and negotiate relationships with high-impact creators and to expand brand awareness and drive targeted market growth.
  • Brand Collaborations: Drive co-marketing opportunities by evaluating, pitching, and executing social-first partnerships with like-minded brands.
  • Community Engagement: Serve as the authoritative digital voice of MIXT across social channels. Strategically moderate online conversations, cultivate loyal guest relationships and identify emerging community sentiment to inform broader marketing and guest experience initiatives.

Local Marketing & New Store Openings (NSOs)

  • NSO Launch Strategy & Field Execution: Drive local field marketing strategy for new store openings. Conceptualize and manage on-the-ground activations, community outreach initiatives, and launch events designed to build immediate brand presence and drive opening-week sales velocity.
  • Cross-Functional Operations & Store Leadership: Serve as the primary marketing liaison to restaurant general managers and field leadership. Develop and establish clear operational playbooks for store promotions, influencer visits, and local activations, ensuring seamless execution and brand consistency across all locations.

Qualifications:

  • A stellar aesthetic eye with obsessive attention to detail across social captions, design assets, and email marketing.
  • Deadline-driven with strong time-management skills; comfortable building realistic timelines and managing multiple moving parts.
  • A natural "proactive helper" who jumps in where needed, solves problems on the fly, and takes initiative without waiting to be asked.
  • Proficient with mobile video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.), Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and email marketing platforms.
  • Able to write clear, punchy, and brand-aligned copy for captions, emails, and store collateral.
