About The Team
We are seeking a results-oriented individual to join our Audience Development team as the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Community Marketing Manager who will support Crunchyroll in growing our robust, international online community through data-driven analyses and a growth-focused approach.
We hope to attract someone who is self-motivated, capable, and with a passion for an inventive social media strategy that drives long-lasting impact. This person will represent and support our regional EMEA social media leads, providing them with resources and mentorship in order to achieve incredible results. This person should be an enthusiastic communicator who can nurture a creative environment for their team while always applying an ROI-focused approach.
This is a meaningful role as we seek to unite anime fans in our fast-growing International markets and deliver a flawless brand experience. They will be responsible for identifying country-specific and always-evolving attributes of our online communities. They will advise where we prioritize engaging with each community, including but not limited to: organic social, influencer marketing, and original social media video content strategy.
Being process-oriented is key -- our international growth is impressive, and we’re looking for someone who can maintain that momentum supporting the teams at various stages of brand development with streamlined workflows. This role will handle regular reporting for each EMEA region across our social media marketing efforts.
This individual will report to the Global Community Marketing Director and work towards defined cross-team goals and documentation. We are looking for a strong culture fit, someone who is results-oriented, creative, and excited to engage with passionate fan bases around the world!
Candidates will need to show the ability to collaborate and work across teams, interacting with various teams worldwide. This position may be expected to communicate outside of normal business hours on occasion due to the nature of social media and various time zones.
Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

A Day in the Life (Responsibilities)
- Develop and execute compelling social media initiatives catered to make our most critical anime titles famous with campaigns that will be remembered for years to come!
- Serve as an internal subject matter authority for EMEA anime communities and advocate for regional opportunities.
- Ensure high-priority series promotions are improved across all channels and tailored to cultural preferences.
- Help define regional engagement-focused influencer strategy with campaigns aimed at extending title marketing efforts and building brand affinity.
- Lead and inspire a team to help articulate and execute Crunchyroll’s social media strategy and brand voice.
- Assist team in gaining access to tools, content, and data from HQ. Continuously contribute to standard methodologies, with frequent experimentation and research.
- Optimize and evaluate campaigns, launches, and new tactics where needed. Encourage innovative pitches.
- Deliver regional analytics finding opportunities/challenges within each community. Review and report on marketing initiatives' impact on-platform and to established goals.
About You (Requirement & Skills)
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, or a related field (having a strong understanding of social media platforms, standards, and authentic usage).
- Confirmed understanding of major social media platforms, and what kind of content works best to meet specific business goals including awareness, retention, engagement, and conversion.
- Experienced in leading successful, creative, and innovative social media or marketing campaigns.
- Prowess in using analytics and data to support growth targets. Extensive knowledge of KPI metrics for all major channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.
- Confirmed experience in project management from briefing to ROI analysis.
- Experience balancing multiple priorities and working across teams.
- Ability to take direction while also working independently and decisively. Flexible, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills, comfortable generating data visualizations and business cases to educate and persuade.
- Familiarity with social media management tools: analytics and scheduling platforms (e.g. ListenFirst, SocialBakers, Simply Measured, Later, Dash Hudson, Curalate, Social Flow, Tweetdeck, HootSuite, etc).
- Respect for anime and its lifestyle and culture, familiarity with fandom communities.
Bonus Points for:
- In-depth knowledge of anime and anime fandom communities.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Multilingual with a priority on French and German.
- Experience with GTM strategies for social media platforms.
- Experience with leading original content and/or video initiatives.
- Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools.
- Experience in RSS feeds and associated logic.
- Professional experience working for entertainment or digital media brands.
