Head of Events

We are looking for a Head of Events leader to join our demand generation team. This position reports to the Head of Demand Generation. You will help to lead our events team, grow our pipeline and own our event management process to ensure we can scale and continue to deliver a great experience for our audiences.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Own the vision and strategy for the events team including our annual user conference, industry events, executive summits and Benchling-hosted events (virtual and in-person)
- Manage, grow and mentor a high performing team of event marketing professionals to ensure goals are always exceeded
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, partners, customer success,) to develop and define an events strategy to support and grow pipeline
- Manage and maintain the event marketing budget
- Track ROI, engagement and audience feedback to measure results, assess opportunities for improvement and optimize future events
ABOUT YOU
- 7+ years in an events role at a B2B software company
- Experience leading and managing a team, required
- Experience managing an event marketing budget
- Success track record of successfully leading marketing event teams
- Excellent knowledge of and hands-on experience with all aspects of event management, logistics, vendor management and marketing
- Strong organizational skills, leaving no detail untouched
- Data-driven, budget-conscious, creative thinker
- Passionate about creating amazing experiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
