ROLE OVERVIEW

You will lead Point’s marketing, customer acquisition, and marketing analytics functions. Homeowners depend on your team to identify them, reach them, and bring Point’s message to them. Your primary responsibilities are to:

  • oversee effective and efficient customer acquisition strategies
  • clearly articulate Point’s identity and brand in all of our messaging, and 
  • ensure the organization has the analytics necessary to make excellent marketing decisions. 

You will manage and grow your team, playing the role of player-coach as they run all of the company’s acquisition channels.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own customer acquisition across digital and offline channels
  • Create the company’s marketing strategy, generate initiatives to achieve growth/efficiency goals, track results regularly and continue to optimize
  • Manage full cycle across marketing channels: planning, test design, execution, analysis, and optimization 
  • Collaborate with finance and production to build the marketing budget; allocate budget across channels and test initiatives
  • Conduct internal research, customer interviews and research, and competitive analysis
  • Develop brand identity, create product positioning, and articulate key customer value propositions
  • Build marketing analytics capability. Oversee analysis of internal and external data to identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition efficacy
  • Fastidiously track metrics across your teams, identifying and prioritizing opportunities from data
  • Ensure your teams, and the organization as a whole, are aligned on the most significant KPIs/KRs with visibility into progress against these measures
  • Develop, promote internally, and implement short, medium and long-term roadmaps across product, technology, and talent that will help your marketing team realize its full potential


REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 or more years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in marketing management roles with progressive responsibilities 
  • MInimum of 5 years of experience recruiting, developing, and managing marketing/growth teams in high growth organizations
  • Excellent people leader focused on building team culture that aligns with Point values
  • Knowledgeable in both digital and direct mail channels, with demonstrable expertise in at least one significant acquisition channel
  • Capable brand ambassador, with clear sense of product marketing excellence and brand fundamentals
  • Strong analytical background with proven experience designing effective advertising tests
  • Medium to expert level SQL skills preferred
  • Excellent understanding of web analytics, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Proven ability to define, instrument, and maintain KPIs and other metrics that capture the impact of the team against the organization’s goals
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience marketing consumer finance products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a history of effective cross-functional collaboration 
  • Marketing agency experience with focus on strategy, analytics and channel management is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

You are an expert in paid and earned customer acquisition. An established manager, you lead your team to excellence across diverse acquisition channels, both online and offline. You are as comfortable editing messaging and copy as you are ensconced in data analysis.  You provide structure and organization to your team’s activities, helping them prioritize and zero in on the highest yield opportunities. You’ve worked in acquisition marketing at scale, managed large budgets, and you want to hone your growth skills in a progressive fintech organization. You’re self-motivated, intellectually curious, and very driven to succeed.

Work From Home Stipends
With employees working remote through June 2021, Point will provide employees a $50 monthly cell phone stipend and a $50 monthly internet stipend. In addition, we will reimburse up to $150 to help you purchase supplies for your home office.

Currently with Covid, our offices are our homes, so we've got a variety of neighborhoods! Our office is centrally located off the PA Caltrain stop.
