We’re looking for a growth-focused product marketing leader to establish, grow, and optimize our ecosystem strategy to increase product market fit for people operations teams managing tasks beyond payroll and benefits.

As someone passionate about ecosystem strategy, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to define, execute, and optimize our partner integrations strategy. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with senior product and business leaders build out a new offering that helps Gusto increase market share within the 5.8 million small businesses across the country.

You will be responsible for driving integration and feature adoption across our customer base. To do so, you’ll partner with product managers, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure customer needs directly influence product strategy. You’ll combine product thinking, data analysis, segmentation, GTM planning, and positioning to define how we bring new and existing product to life and drive value for Gusto, our customers, and our integration partners. Partnering with subject matter experts on a wide variety of teams across the company and externally, you’ll advocate for and prioritize the work that ensures and accelerates the mutual growth of Gusto and our technology partners.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Understand customer needs through market analysis, surveys, interviews, and product usage data. Use understanding to impact ecosystem strategy
  • Develop positioning and messaging that inspires customers and drives action
  • Increase Gusto market share, and drive integration and feature adoption
  • Work with PMs to define the future of integrations in delivering an end-to-end people platform solution for small businesses
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop sales and partner enablement materials
  • Influence the product roadmap by continually refining and synthesizing your understanding of the market and customers we serve
  • Execute go-to-market campaigns to drive product adoption, growth, and retention
  • Work with our business development, community, and other marketing teams to establish, develop, and optimize joint-marketing campaigns
  • Manage our partner ecosystem, and the marketing efforts of our partners within it

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of work experience with 3+ in product marketing
  • An experienced marketer of disruptive products in a rapidly growing startup environment
  • Experience developing and evolving ecosystem strategy efforts to manage a scaled and thriving app ecosystem
  • Experience designing and building joint marketing plans with strategic partners, proven ability to drive growth
  • Bias towards rapid testing and optimization, with tight measurement and reporting
  • A wildly curious and quantitative person who uses data to solve problems. Strong data chops (SQL is awesome, expert use of Excel/Tableau a given)
  • A product mindset and track record earning the respect of product teams
  • An influencer that can work well with various groups and levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing and coaching the work of others
  • BA/BS degree
