About the Team:
Title Marketing manages the process of developing the marketing strategy and creative campaigns for Crunchyroll’s top titles. Our focus is viewership - developing big ideas that get the right eyes on the right shows. We work with internal teams, and external agencies and content partners to develop strategies and ideas across digital, social, experiential, TV, OOH, etc.
We are searching for a contractor to deliver a fully baked media plan for a tentpole title coming to Crunchyroll! Responsibilities will include media strategy, research management/analysis, project management, creative development, and media planning/strategy.
About You:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a digital marketing role and/or marketing campaign management; cross-functional campaign management experience required.
- Professional familiarity with results for broadcast, digital and social (Facebook, Instagram, display banners, programmatic, etc.).
- Proven strategic and creative capabilities (developing and executing creative campaigns, dreaming up (or identifying) ‘big ideas,’ and then presenting those ideas across teams and up the ladder)
- An interest for data, including experience with qualitative/quantitative testing, data-informed campaign planning and creative optimization.
- Experience reporting data to C-level partners, internally and externally.
- Experience planning both traditional and digital marketing formats
- Sincere interest in the entertainment industry and how entertainment is marketed. Anime fandom is a plus (but not a requirement).
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Able to thrive in an evolving business landscape. Highly organized. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
A Day in the Life:
- Guide strategic development process across multiple teams - running a marketing plan from the ground up.
- Lead development of creative and collaborate with the Marketing, Content/Programming, Audience Development, Events, Product/Tech, Originals, Brand Management, Consumer Products, Creative, and other teams on execution.
- Run cross-functional meetings and keep project momentum going across a diverse set of teams.
- Handle data gathering and analysis, with a keen eye for optimizations/findings to continuously evolve our approach. Identify meaningful ways to communicate campaign results to licensing partners across the world.
- Own creative briefs/requests and track marketing assets through the production pipeline with clear communication to all partners.
- Work with our cross-functional marketing team to record and distribute creative notes after meetings.
- Lead creative brainstorm sessions built to identify effective creative and marketing strategies to drive awareness and viewership.
- Nurture our content and inform all marketing and creative shareholders, as well as key partners, on the IP and marketing plan.
