Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)

This is a Stanford Health Care job.
A Brief Overview
Plans and develops communications and materials for internal and external audiences related to parking and sustainable transportation (e.g., free staff CalTrain and VTA passes, campus shuttle busses, Park and Ride commuter lots and busses, carpool, vanpool, corporate rideshare, bicycles, and pre-tax commuter benefits, etc.).

Creates content, manages a variety of projects supporting the dissemination of communications (i.e., newsletters, brochures, manuals, websites, etc.), and edits and facilitates the final production of publications working with the marketing/communications department of SHC, LPCH, and the Stanford University – Transportation Services department.

What you will do

  • Develops and maintains a hospital transportation microsite within the Stanford University Transportation website, leveraging the parent site’s design and serving as a one-stop portal for the transportation programs of SHC and LPCH.
  • Develops and produces hospital transportation newsletters and regularly provide content to existing hospital newsletters and intranet sites.
  • Effectively communicates parking and transportation information through multiple communication vehicles and channels, determining the best methodology based on the message and the intended audience. Content includes programs, incentives, transportation operational updates, such as parking and traffic impacts, and sustainable transportation options.
  • Communication vehicles primarily will be digital, including video, but may also include print communications, such as flyers and signage (e.g., directional signs from parking garages to destination(s)).
  • Prioritizes target audiences based on message(s) to be communicated and time sensitivity.
  • Acts as a liaison to facilitate communication and collaboration between Stanford University Transportation and both hospitals (SHC and LPCH).


Education Qualifications

  • Job requires a Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Relevant experience in lieu of degree is in addition to the experience requirements for this position.


Experience Qualifications

  • Required experience and background in web publishing, Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Photoshop and email marketing tools, such as Constant Contact.
  • Preferred experienced using web and video analytics tools and graphic design.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in internal communications preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to write, research, edit and produce original copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising, as well as flawless written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team in a diverse environment.
  • Experience taking initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and clients and with external organizations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety, communicate safety concerns, and use and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in current software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Cisco WebEx, and Smartsheets.
  • Experience in planning and prioritizing assignments with minimal supervision in a fast-paced tech-savvy work environment.
  • Experience in adapting to new technology and new processes with minimal explanation.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $44.60 - $57.99 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
