Candescent is seeking an ambitious Marketplace Business Owner to lead and grow our partner marketplace. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, product awareness, and ecosystem building. You’ll be responsible for curating the right mix of fintech partners, ensuring they are well-represented, and driving visibility, engagement, and results across the platform.

Ideal candidates will bring experience running a business or owning a product line—perhaps as a GM or senior product manager—and have a strong grasp of business metrics, marketing, and cross-functional execution. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Candescent shows up in the fintech ecosystem, while building something that delivers real value to our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Drive the strategy, operations, and performance of Candescent’s partner marketplace.
  • Ensure that the marketplace drive value for Candescent and the fintech partners
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, partnerships, and sales teams to ensure partner offerings are well-integrated and well-positioned.
  • Monitor business metrics and marketplace performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Act as a connector between internal teams and external partners, ensuring smooth onboarding, activation, and ongoing success.
  • Stay close to fintech trends and partner needs, continuously evolving the marketplace to reflect what’s next.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in business ownership, product management, partnerships, or marketplace operations.
  • Proven ability to drive results in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of business metrics, marketing strategy, and product positioning.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in delivering value and running a marketplace environment
  • Experience working with fintech’s or in a partnership capacity is highly valuable.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building, and motivated by impact

Preferred Distinctions

  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or platform businesses.
  • Background in launching or scaling marketplaces or partner ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with digital banking, embedded finance, or B2B2C models.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and hustle.
