Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Materials Coordinator with strong knowledge of procurement processes, transportation, order processing, and receiving. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping and receiving, and data entry. They should also be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and acting as a liaison between various departments as needed. The Materials Coordinator will be participating different aspects of the supply chain process.

Position Location: This role is onsite, reporting into the office in the City of Industry Monday-Friday. 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

  • Analyze current orders, historical data and records to determine the best source and establish replenishment requirement.
  • Maintain Production Planning Spreadsheets.
  • Keep and verify records (quantity and quality) on incoming shipments.
  • Assemble and place purchase orders, update status of purchase orders.
  • Maintains item number integrity and accuracy of inventory data.
  • Communicate with suppliers for shipment status and paperwork discrepancy.
  • Research, track, and resolve any vendor invoices with Accounts Payable.
  • Performs all Oracle functions necessary to track status of goods.
  • Prepare discrepancy report for supervisor's review and adjustments.
  • Generate Daily/Monthly report for the department.
  • Service internal customs regard to inventory inquiry.
  • Update price list.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Customer Service, Receiving and Sales/Marketing Department.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Purchasing related field, preferred.
  • Skills and experience in Accounting
  • Good math and computer skills, MS Office Word, Excel skills .
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, and practices within shipping or import department is preferred.
  • Attention to detail,  good organization skill and follow instruction.
  • Analytical mind with ability to comprehend and manipulate data.
  • Professional communication skills and team building abilities.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $50,000 USD - $57,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
