Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Component and simple assembly design
  • Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaboratively
  • Collaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical content
  • Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring
  • Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleagues
  • May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals
  • Provide guidance to fellow team members
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar role
  • Experience designing components and simple assemblies using CAD software
  • Knowledge of product development processes including prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support
  • Experience creating mechanical drawings and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with testing, fixture design, and validation activities
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, or troubleshooting of mechanical systems
  • Ability to support senior engineers on complex projects and contribute to cross-functional development efforts

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $97,000 - $105,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
