Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location – Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: FULL TIME

Job description:- 

Keywords: special purpose machinery / SEMI domain is preferred. Other domains with relevant experience design, Low volume, high value machinery, semiconductor processing systems, PECVD, MOCVD, CVD, plasma systems design can be considered

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in Mechanical complex designs and the ability to take independent ownership of the design and bring it to completion.

• Experience in design development of Frames and sheet metal, machined parts for products

• Expertise in PTC Creo or wildfire 4.0 and Above, 3D models and 2D drawings, GD&T, ASME/ANSI standards

• Accurate, thorough, consistent, pro-active, assertive but definitely a team player

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• PC literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)

• ERP SAP

• Good project-coordination, communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

• Hands-on experience in design, manufacture and maintenance of product life cycle in SEMI domain

• Additional experience/expertise with mechanical/thermal/stress FEA simulation using Pro/Mechanica package for design verification; as well as; calculations related to Center of Gravity and seismic 

• Experience of high vacuum systems, pneumatics, gas systems, industrial automation systems, special purpose machinery. Low volume, high value machinery, semiconductor processing systems, PECVD, MOCVD, CVD, plasma systems

Responsibility:

• Mechanical Engineer with greater experience related to complex designs and the ability to take independent ownership of the design and bring it to completion without a great deal of supervision 

• Capable of providing mechanical design solutions for capital equipment/special machines

• Expertise with mechanical/thermal/stress FEA simulation using Pro/Mechanica package for design verification.

• Direct and coordinate mechanical engineering and manufacturing activities

• Experience in identifying and offshoring the projects and worked in onsite/ offshore working models.

Education Qualification:

• BE, B.Tech., BS, MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design with hands on special machines experience. Domain experience in semiconductor processing systems and knowledge on relevant standard is added advantage
