About the Opportunity

This opportunity is with a U.S. manufacturing company that designs and produces high-end modular aluminum cabinet systems used in garages, specialty vehicles, trailers, and professional workspaces.

The organization operates a small but highly collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment where engineers work closely with production teams to design and refine precision sheet metal products.

Because of the size of the company and the custom nature of the products, engineers often work across multiple phases of the product lifecycle including concept development, detailed design, manufacturing considerations, and product improvements.

Employees have the opportunity to contribute directly to product development and process improvements while collaborating closely with manufacturing staff, leadership, and sales teams.
Position Overview

The Mechanical Product Designer is responsible for developing and refining mechanical designs for modular aluminum cabinet systems and related accessories.

This position requires strong experience with SolidWorks and mechanical modeling, with a focus on designing components suitable for precision sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.

The designer will work across the full product lifecycle including concept development, prototyping, engineering documentation, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are efficient and manufacturable.

Because the company operates as a small manufacturing organization, this role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to take ownership of projects from concept through completion.
