The Boeing Integrated Design Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate) to join the Satellite Systems Team located in El Segundo, CA.
The selected candidate will be part of a high-performing engineering team that is immersed in development and high non-recurring projects. This candidate will design Thermal Products (Multi-Layer Insulation and Protection) to meet mechanical system requirements and establish mechanical systems design for Government and Commercial Satellite Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
  • Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
  • Perform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installation
  • Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems
  • Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
  • Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
  • Work under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience in thermal design and analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with ProE/CREO or Windchill applications
  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Entry-Level (Level 1): $76,500.00 - $103,500.00
Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $90,950.00 - $123,050.00
