The Media Specialist  is responsible for the quality assurance, technical aspects  and final processing of the Media Asset management system and video library it contains, supporting our ever-growing multimedia distribution points. This role also supports the Live Operations and ensures monitoring , QC and asset management of all Live events conducted in the role.  This role will report to the Technical Supervisor and work alongside numerous departments including traffic, programming, production, and distribution teams. 


Professional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical Specification and requirements 
  • Handle Live Operations QC during Live streaming
  • Manage the MAM system in regards troubleshooting, ingestion and organization of content,  while also providing suggestions for improvements for other groups and their respective workflows 
  • Ensure all final assets are properly ingested into our MAM and follow protocols for metadata, video specs, and duration constraints 
  • Edit and deliver final assets to the MAM for Linear distribution and provide best practices for data.
  • Support and track monthly closed caption usage and 
  • Support Live Event replay and editing efforts to ensure tight turnarounds post event 
  • Implementation of AI tools for video creation and media initiatives
  • Support Editorial team on caption creation and delivery of assets to JW dashboard

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Design (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of Media experience
  • Editing and Live Operations  experience
  • Experience with technical specifications and Media SOP’s
  • Demonstrated strength in creative thought and problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational skills and asset management within a controlled process
  • Fluency in Adobe CC (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.)
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for motion design solutions that excite our customers
  • Working knowledge of Media Management Saas ( Iconik, Google, JW Player, Zype, Airtable, adobe media encoder, cyberduck)

What We Offer:

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of  between $55,000 to $65,000.  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away,  sick leave, and more.  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
