Manage Genspark's media strategy and partnerships by developing plans, setting brand metrics, coordinating PR, and optimizing budget effectiveness.
Genspark is looking for an Integrated Marketing Manager who can think strategically about where and how we show up in the market—then make it happen. You'll own our media strategy, manage our PR agency relationship, drive co-marketing partnerships, and use data to make smarter decisions about where we invest our brand dollars.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll plan our media roadmap, coordinate with our PR agency, negotiate partnerships, and track what's actually working. You're the person who figures out which channels matter for us, how we measure impact, and how we punch above our weight through smart partnerships.
What You'll Do
Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop our media strategy: decide which channels (traditional media, OOH, digital brand channels, podcasts, etc.) make sense for Genspark and when
- Create our annual media plan with budget allocation across channels
- Evaluate new media opportunities and test emerging channels
- Oversee media buying execution (working with agencies or direct)
- Optimize media spend based on performance and audience reach
Brand Tracking & Insights
- Set up and monitor brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, sentiment)
- Track media effectiveness across channels and campaigns
- Run attribution analysis to understand which touchpoints drive impact
- Report on brand campaign performance and ROI to leadership
PR Management
- Serve as the internal point person for our external PR agency
- Brief PR agency on company updates, product launches, and strategic priorities
- Coordinate between PR agency and internal stakeholders (product, leadership, creative team)
- Track media coverage and PR impact
- Manage crisis communication protocols with PR agency when needed
Partnerships & Co-marketing
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities that amplify our brand
- Negotiate and structure co-marketing deals
- Execute joint campaigns and partnership activations
- Coordinate partnership content across channels
- Measure partnership ROI and optimize our partnership portfolio
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand & Creative Lead to ensure media strategy amplifies creative campaigns
- Partner with the performance marketing team to align brand and performance efforts
- Collaborate with the product team to inform the media strategy with product insights
- Present strategy and results to the leadership team
What You'll Bring
- 5-7 years of experience in brand strategy, media planning, partnerships, or related roles—ideally at tech companies or agencies serving tech clients
- Strategic thinking: You can develop channel strategies that ladder up to business goals and translate them into actionable plans
- Analytical mindset: Comfortable with brand tracking, attribution analysis, and using data to inform decisions (no need to be a data scientist, but you should be data-fluent)
- Agency management: Experience managing external agencies (PR, media buying) and getting great work out of them
- Partnership chops: Track record of identifying, negotiating, and executing successful co-marketing partnerships
- Budget management: Experience managing marketing budgets ($500K+) and optimizing spend across channels
- User research: Familiarity with research methodologies and translating insights into strategy
- US market fluency: Deep understanding of the US media landscape and consumer behavior
- Startup DNA: Comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and building processes from scratch
- Communication skills: You can present complex strategies clearly to leadership and collaborate effectively across teams
- Experience at product-led growth (PLG) companies, especially in productivity tools or SaaS
- Background in media planning or brand strategy at top-tier agencies
- Track record with tech/consumer partnerships
We're confident about what we're building but humble about what we still need to learn. We move fast, debate ideas openly, and celebrate wins together. If you're looking for a place where your strategic thinking directly shapes how millions of people discover Genspark, you'll fit right in.
Send us your resume, a brief note about why Genspark excites you, and 2-3 examples of strategies or partnerships you're most proud of (with results/metrics if possible).
