Project Scope
We are seeking a MEDITECH Revenue Cycle Consultant to support a healthcare organization across end-to-end revenue cycle operations. This role will bring hands-on MEDITECH expertise to drive workflow optimization, system configuration, and operational performance improvements across billing, collections, and denials functions.
Position Summary
The MEDITECH Revenue Cycle Consultant will serve as a hands-on resource responsible for analyzing, configuring, and optimizing MEDITECH revenue cycle workflows and system settings. This individual will work closely with operational and technical stakeholders to support back-end revenue cycle functions, contribute to implementation or optimization efforts, and deliver reporting and performance insights that drive measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate brings practical MEDITECH experience, a strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, and the ability to work effectively in both analytical and client-facing capacities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end revenue cycle operations with emphasis on back-end functions including billing, collections, and denials.
- Analyze, configure, and optimize MEDITECH revenue cycle workflows and system settings.
- Contribute to MEDITECH implementation or large-scale optimization efforts.
- Develop and maintain reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring within the MEDITECH environment.
- Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to identify workflow gaps and deliver solutions.
- Document configuration decisions, workflow designs, and optimization recommendations.
- Support compliance with revenue cycle regulations and reimbursement requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on MEDITECH revenue cycle experience.
- Experience supporting back-end revenue cycle functions including billing, collections, and denials.
- Involvement in at least one MEDITECH or Epic implementation or major optimization effort.
- Working knowledge of MEDITECH revenue cycle applications and workflows.
- Understanding of reimbursement models and revenue cycle compliance standards.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MEDITECH Expanse or Magic revenue cycle modules.
- Background in reporting, analytics, or performance monitoring within MEDITECH.
- Prior consulting, analyst, or operational support experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with end-to-end revenue cycle workflows from patient access through final bill.
- Strong communication skills with operational and technical audiences.
