This is a remote position.

The company is a high-throughput public sharding blockchain platform that was designed to scale to thousands of transactions per second, tailored towards enabling creating secure data-driven decentralised apps, and designed to meet the scaling requirements of machine learning and financial algorithms.

 

They’re looking for a capable Metaverse Software Engineer to join their team and develop the code that runs their metaverse offering.  

 

MISSIONS

 

Selecting and integrating assets to render environments designed by the company’s 3D architects.

Writing Unity (and to some extent Unreal Engine) code to run those virtual environments, on Linux unless the project requires some other OS (the company tries to avoid supporting more than one development OS).

Helping to architect and code the company’s metaverse backend (the code that maintains the state of environments, identifies users, and executes transactions).

Assist other teams to integrate metaverse products into the company’s overall offering.



Profil
  • A good degree in Computer Science/ Engineering in a Top University and solid ability to read and understand code quickly.
  • An interest in Crypto/Blockchain development.
  • Good ability in game development in Unity (or another engine with evidence that the skills will transfer) - in particular, WebGL/AR and OpenGL experience would be of benefit.
  • Interested in working in a variety of other programming languages, Rust being the favourite Backend language, Dart/Rust for mobile applications, and typescript where relevant.
  • Good knowledge of a variety of programming languages and systems, including the ability to learn rapidly.
  • A willingness to at least learn how to write smart contracts and interact with, if not implement, blockchains.
  • Good proficiency with Linux.
  • Working knowledge of GCP and Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to deliver on complex projects to completion.

 A Plus : Knowledge of blockchain, multiplayer game implementation, and systems programming would be advantageous ( not a requirement).
