We are looking for a Mid-Level AI / Backend / API Developer to join our growing team. This role combines backend engineering with AI integration, focusing on building scalable systems and APIs while incorporating intelligent features into applications.
The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience and is comfortable working with AI tools, APIs, and data-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services
- Build and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Integrate AI/ML models and third-party AI services into applications
- Handle database design, optimization, and data processing
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability of backend systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the system
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java)
- Experience building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL)
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Experience integrating third-party services and APIs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
- Experience working with AI/ML APIs or frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Understanding of basic machine learning concepts
- Experience handling data preprocessing and model integration is a plus
