Boeing's Defense, Space and Security Division (BDS) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Human Resources Business Partner to join the HR team in El Segundo, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive team aimed at shaping the future of Human Resources at Boeing and drive business value for Space Mission System and the El Segundo site.
By partnering with managers and employees, you will have a critical role in driving business value, best-in-class employee experience, and effective delivery of HR programs, services, and support in the following key areas:
  • Employee engagement
  • Career and employee development
  • Employee performance
  • Leadership coaching and development
  • Integration and partnership across Operations, across broader HR team, and HR Centers of Excellence including Ethics, Labor Relations, Total Rewards, and Legal

As a key member of the HR Team, you will gain a strong understanding of the business imperatives to unleash the power of our talent across the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide visible, on the floor HR presence where our employees work to enable real-time engagement and solutions
  • Provide consultation and coaching to employees at all levels (management to non-management) on HR practices and processes
  • Partner with business leaders, ethics and/or corporate investigations to resolve workplace concerns, support the development and delivery of corrective actions, performance improvement and development plans
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Manufacturing and Quality executives and their leadership teams to deliver integrated HR initiatives and solutions
  • Partner across the broader HR team and with HR centers of excellence (CoE) partners to deliver high quality, seamlessly integrated operational HR support to the business
  • Aid in supporting the delivery of key HR processes (performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.)
  • Utilize conflict resolution techniques and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
  • Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided
  • Support HR priorities, organizational structure, and long-range business plans including affordability/productivity, skill and talent discussions, development programs, and resource deployment

Working Conditions:
This role requires a consistent presence on the floor and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
  • 3+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes
  • 3+ years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders
  • 3+ years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field
  • Human Resources certification(s)
  • 3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
  • Experience working with labor unions
  • Experience problem-solving, analyzing data and utilizing various HR tools and systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $102,000 - $138,000
