About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Next.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js. You will be part of a team building the next-generation payment orchestration system. If you are passionate about payment technology, enjoy coordinating complex technical implementations, and thrive on delivering high-quality software, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable web applications using Next.js and TypeScript.

• Design and develop high-performance user interfaces with Next.js, ensuring optimal user experience.

• Collaborate with the Technical Project Manager, Backend Engineers, QA, and Head of Engineering to deliver seamless integration between front-end applications and backend services.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend consumption, ensuring efficient communication with backend services.

• Take full ownership of code quality, applying design principles such as DRY, SOLID, and YAGNI.

• Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and SEO best practices.

• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring the highest performance and reliability of applications.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments, with experience in working with Docker files.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional software development experience.

• Strong expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Advanced understanding of server-side rendering, static site generation, and client-side navigation.

• Proficiency in designing scalable software architectures.

• Familiarity with deployment processes on platforms like Vercel.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

• English language proficiency at a minimum B2+ level.

Nice to have

• Experience in the fintech or digital payments sector.

• Familiarity with payment gateways and service providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

• Understanding of payment orchestration systems and PCI compliance requirements.

• Experience with low-code platforms and understanding of REST APIs and webhook implementations.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
