Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) - Win/Loss Intelligence & Data Analytics Intern

Position Objective

KBR’s Competitive Intelligence and Position to Win Team is seeking an Intern to develop a new competitive intelligence capability for the company. KBR regularly receives debriefs from customers regarding their evaluation of our proposals and their contract award decisions. Organized and analyzed correctly, this information can improve KBR’s probability of winning future contracts.

This is a project-based internship opportunity. A successful internship will yield a searchable data set that can identify trends and produce recommendations for senior leaders and executives to make more informed decisions. This experience and the resulting product will be valuable to reference in future internship or job applications.

Core Database Content & Searchable Fields

The intern will help define, populate, and maintain structured fields that allow users to filter, compare, and analyze win/loss outcomes across pursuits. Core searchable fields include, but are not limited to:

  • Opportunity & Customer Information

  • Pricing & Cost Intelligence

  • Technical & Non-Price Evaluation Results

  • Internal Support & Capture Investment Indicators

These fields are intended to enable correlation analysis between capture investments, pricing strategy, solution approach, and award outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Intern will report directly to KBR’s Senior Director for Competitive Intelligence and Position to Win. Activities will also be coordinated with KBR’s Vice President of Strategic Pricing and Principal Analyst for Competitive Intelligence.

  • Establish a common location, structure, and process for storing customer debriefs.

  • Organize current debriefs in accordance with the new structure

  • Develop data fields for debrief summary file.

  • Populate information in the debrief summary file.

  • Develop tools to generate analysis and produce visualizations from the summary file.

  • Present fundings and observations to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize complex information.

  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Excel and SharePoint.

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to generate analysis and produce data visualizations.

Basic Compensation:

$22.88 - $34.28/hour
