Become a part of our customer’s team as a Mobile Game Developer with expertise in Solar2D (previously known as Corona SDK). In this role, you will be instrumental in creating innovative gameplay experiences for both iOS and Android platforms, concentrating on developing rapid, monetization-ready prototypes and high-performance games.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, prototype, and develop cross-platform mobile games utilizing Solar2D and Lua scripting.
- Develop core gameplay mechanics and game systems from initial concept through to final release.
- Enhance game performance to deliver smooth experiences on a wide range of mobile devices.
- Incorporate monetization elements such as in-app purchases and advertising networks to prepare games for market launch.
- Work closely with designers, artists, and fellow developers to continually improve and polish gameplay.
- Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices in game development.
- Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to support ongoing improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in mobile game development using Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of cross-platform game deployment for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Proven ability to quickly and efficiently prototype in high-pressure environments.
- Strong expertise in optimizing mobile game performance and ensuring device compatibility.
- Experience with integrating monetization strategies including ads and in-app purchases.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a collaborative approach.
- Capability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A portfolio featuring published mobile games developed with Solar2D/Corona SDK.
- Knowledge of app store submission procedures and experience with analytics tools.
- Prior experience collaborating within remote, multicultural teams.
