Position Responsibilities:
- Follow the guidance and direction from lead, and senior SMEs
- Remove, replace, adjust and/or install equipment racks, power panels and various aircraft components/assemblies, and closures
- Perform bond and ground testing to ensure electrical ground between aircraft systems
- Perform wire routing and wire terminations
- Perform soldering
- Perform pre and post testing of electrical systems
- Locate work area using drawings, Installation Plan or other paperwork that specifies airplane number, section number and three-point location
- Obtain and verify detail parts, standards and assemblies were issued correctly and are free of visible defects
- Perform lock out, tag out, try out equipment for safety
- Perform detailed tool inventories daily
- Demonstrate a safe work ethic
- Work with military customers to ensure compliance with BDS policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in performing complete operational testing of electrical systems
- 1+ years of experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting
- Experience reading and interpreting system prints and schematics

- This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM 751) Collective Bargaining Agreement. New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of sixty (60) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
