Your Impact
The Mortgage Representative (Non-Producing) provides licensing, operational, and compliance support for the Company's licensed mortgage activities in Arizona, Hawaii, and Missouri. This role supports the Company's state mortgage licensing obligations, assists with branch and individual licensing requirements, maintains required books and records, tracks licensing status through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System ("NMLS"), and helps coordinate compliance-related documentation and regulatory responses. This position works under the direction of senior management. The role is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting licensing obligations, and ensuring that mortgage brokerage activities are conducted in accordance with state regulatory requirements.
What You Will Do
  • Support the Company's licensed mortgage activities in assigned states to maintain and achieve compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
    o SAFE Act
    o Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)
    o Truth in Lending Act (TILA)
    o Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
    o Applicable state mortgage broker laws and regulations
  • Assist with maintaining company, branch, and individual licensing records through NMLS.
  • Track license renewals, continuing education requirements, registrations, and related documentation.
  • Support preparation and submission of regulatory filings, reports, and renewals, as directed.
  • Maintain books, records, and documentation required by applicable regulators and Company policy.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of compliance procedures and escalate issues to management and/or the Compliance Team.
  • Assist with branch licensing setup, updates to branch information, and related administrative activities.
  • Coordinate with compliance, legal, licensing, and operations teams on state-specific licensing and regulatory matters.
  • Track active licensing status of mortgage loan originators ("MLOs) in assigned states, if applicable.
  • Monitor continuing education deadlines and support collection of required licensing documentation.
  • Maintain internal rosters of licensed personnel and branch assignments.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities related to licensing and state registration requirements.
  • Support communication with MLOs regarding outstanding licensing, recordkeeping, and compliance items.
  • Prepare files, reports, logs, and supporting materials for regulatory inquiries, examinations, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Document follow-up items and support remediation efforts, as directed by management or the Compliance Team.
  • Assist with compliance training administration and tracking.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain at all times an approved NMLS MLO license and any required individual state specific licensure, where applicable.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending terminology and general familiarity with federal mortgage regulations and state mortgage broker licensing requirements.
  • Experience with NMLS, mortgage licensing support, or regulatory documentation preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Arizona State-Specific Requirements:• Reside and work in the State of Arizona.• 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending, mortgage operations, mortgage licensing, loan processing, or compliance support.• Obtain and maintain an active Arizona Mortgage Loan Originator license• Provide and maintain a principal place of business in Arizona and assist the Company in establishing location for branch licensure.• Support mortgage broker licensing and recordkeeping requirements applicable to Arizona operations.• Support supervision and compliance administration for licensed mortgage broker activities in Arizona, as directed.

Preferred Skills/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in mortgage licensing, loan processing, mortgage compliance support, or branch administration.
  • Familiarity with multi-state mortgage licensing requirements.
  • Experience supporting internal audits or regulatory examinations.
