Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated and proactive MUOS-SLE Chief of Staff (Senior or Lead) to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong track record of supporting senior and executive leaders. You bring expertise in schedule management and business travel logistics, along with deep knowledge of Boeing tools and processes. Known for driving process improvements and fostering team success, you excel at quickly learning new responsibilities, solving complex problems, and contributing proactively to organizational goals.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) operating rhythm while closely coordinating with the broader Space Mission Systems (SMS) team.
  • Lead the design, logistics and facilitation of MUOS operational reviews, program related events; maintain leadership team calendars; monitor and track MUOS actions, project and initiative execution and communicate status.
  • Prepare high level briefings for internal and external customers
  • Enterprise Gated process execution and closure effectiveness.
  • Point of contact for interfaces with Executive office for Space Communications Programs and SMS.
  • Point of contact for customer front offices.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff or in administrative coordination, project support, or staff analyst roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant business tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting senior management and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 5: 10+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working within aerospace, defense, or related industries
  • Knowledge of Boeing-specific tools, systems, and processes
  • Proven experience in process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating complex projects
  • Familiarity with records and information management programs
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and managing high-level communications
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic Relocation will be offered to internal candidates.

Summary pay range:
Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
Level 5: $156,400 - $211,600
