Job Description SummaryThe NAM Blades Planning Leader is responsible for the strategic planning and coordination of blade repair services across North America. This role ensures that all repair requests are efficiently planned, documented, and executed in a timely manner. The Planning Leader oversees the creation of Statements of Work (SOW), vendor coordination, resource allocation, and the management of digital tools and KPIs. Additionally, this position involves leading a team of five employees and managing materials, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires a detail-oriented leader capable of creating robust processes, leveraging digital tools, and driving collaboration to support field operations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Work Preparation & SOW Development:

  • Review and validate information received from Engineering for each repair project.
  • Prepare detailed Statements of Work (SOW) to define project scope and requirements.
  • Support the selection of the most appropriate internal teams or vendor partners for mobilization.

Vendor & Resource Coordination:

  • Create purchase requisitions if using contractors.
  • Make central coordination of vendors to know when they have teams available and the skillsets.
  • Schedule the job as per availability of resources and priority.

Operational Oversight & Job Support:

  • Act as the primary interface with Resource Managers and Project Managers after mobilization.
  • Monitor job progress and proactively identify where additional support is needed.
  • Ensure alignment with field teams and escalate issues as necessary to maintain project continuity.

Financial Management:

  • Create purchase orders for all jobs.
  • Manage vendors' invoicing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Align with field teams to validate work completion before proceeding with vendor payments.

KPI Tracking & Performance Support:

  • Monitor and support regional KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Provide data and analysis to leadership to drive operational improvements.
  • Identify trends and recommend actions to maintain or exceed performance targets.

Job Estimation & Target Setting:

  • Perform job estimation and set targets for each repair project.
  • Ensure estimates are accurate and align with budget constraints.

Digital Tools & Process Development:

  • Act as the main responsible to have all digital tools, dashboards, and KPIs updated.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve processes to standardize back-office operations.
  • Develop and maintain digital tools to improve visibility, scheduling accuracy, and efficiency.

Material, Tools, and PPE Management:

  • Oversee the management of materials, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for blade repair projects.
  • Ensure that all necessary materials and tools are available and in good condition before job mobilization.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain inventory levels and ensure timely availability of PPE.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of five planners, administrative personnel, and other support staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members are properly trained on systems, tools, and processes.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations and or Services Management, Supply Chain, or related field (OR HSED/GED + 7 years of equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in service operations, project coordination, or supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing Statements of Work, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing resource allocation.
  • Willingness to travel periodically (up to 10%) to warehouses, offices, and field locations.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in operational tools and systems (ERP, scheduling software, dashboards).
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing requisitions, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to design processes and implement digital tools to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working with technical, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

#LI-Remote - This is a remote position

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,400.00 and $152,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
