Reporting to the Manager, Technology Teams, the Senior Process Analyst will lead the creation of in-depth reports that uncover memory technology trends, compare innovations across manufacturers, and provide valuable insights to global clients. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform advanced reverse engineering analysis on complex memory semiconductor devices for subscription-based and custom projects.
- Lead the development of in-depth, customer-facing reports that highlight memory technology trends, compare manufacturers, and answer broader industry questions.
- Act as project leader for advanced memory technical reports, managing project scope, risks, and timelines to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Prepare lab work orders, evaluate results, and provide advanced technical guidance to lab staff.
- Verify and review technical content prepared by other analysts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with team goals.
- Provide mentorship and training to less experienced team members.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap by monitoring industry trends, attending conferences, and sharing insights.
- Participate in select client interactions, including sales calls, client briefings, and responding to inquiries.
- Potentially support intellectual property projects through claim analysis, claim mapping, and preparation of Evidence of Patent Use documentation.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives such as video briefings, blogs, and featured content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Nanotechnology, or a related field (required); Master’s or PhD in a related discipline (preferred).
- Knowledge base must include:
- Manufacturing processes for 2D/3D NAND, NOR flash memory
- Manufacturing processes for emerging memory (ReRAM, ST-MRAM, PCRAM, FeRAM) would be an asset
- Manufacturing processes for advanced CMOS, with emphasis on FinFET would be an asset
- In addition to the above, knowledge of process integration of specifically advanced NAND devices would be an asset.
- An understanding of the limitations and advantages of analytical techniques, including SEM, TEM, EDS, EELS, SIMS, FTIR, Raman, SRP
- Experience in intellectual property services such as patent filing, prosecution, technical support for licensing, patent brokerage etc. is an asset
- Strong analytical skills combined with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and work well with cross functional teams
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to represent TechInsights at conferences, client meetings, and industry events to share and gather technical knowledge.
