We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join Qualys NetOps team. This role will be responsible for network monitoring, configuration, and management of various networking devices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, load balancers (including NGINX), and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto). The candidate should also have experience working with cloud platforms such as OCI, GCP, AWS etc. 

Key Responsibilities :

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: 

1. Monitoring network performance, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot network issues using SolarWinds Orion software, Kibana etc.

2, Analyze network logs and provide recommendations for performance optimization. 

Network Configuration & Management: 

1. Configure and maintain Cisco routers, Cisco switches, load balancers (including NGINX), and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto)

2. Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, HSRP etc.)

3. Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and security patching.

4. Manage network security policies and firewall rule configurations.   

Cloud Networking: 

1. Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms like OCI, GCP, AWS.

On-Call & Incident Response: 

1. Participate in on-call rotations ( including weekends) to support network incidents and service disruptions. 

2. Provide timely resolution to escalated network issues and coordinate with senior engineers if needed. 

Customer Support & Travel: 

1. Occasionally travel to customer locations and remote data centers for on-site support, installation, and troubleshooting.

2. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth network operations. 

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3 to 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.

Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, Cisco switches, load balancers (including NGINX) and firewalls (Cisco or Palo Alto)

Experience working on cloud environments (GCP AWS, etc.)

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

CCNA or equivalent networking certification.

Experience with scripting (Python, Terraform, Bash) for network automation. 

Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance standards.

Annual Salary Guidelines: $90,000 - $120,000
