Network Operations Intern

Job Summary

Our team, the Network Architecture team, is seeking a Network Development Intern to support the development of our Next Gen Equinix products and solutions. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on building automation, tooling, and reporting systems that will contribute to the advancement of our cutting-edge network hardware technologies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of automation tools and reporting systems that support the testing and deployment of network devices.

• Add enhancements and fixes to Java based network abstraction and orchestration microservices
• Enhance existing and/or create new monitoring and metrics dashboards

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, either as a rising senior or a master's student.

• Pursuing a degree in software development, computer science, or a related field.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Golang, C, and Python.

• Knowledge of API integration, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Available to work full-time for the duration of the internship program (between May to August)

• Open to working in Redwood City California

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $25/hour to $45/hour
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
