Irvine Clinical Research is hiring a Neurologist who will serve as a Principal Investigator. The physician will oversee Phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical trials of some of the most promising drugs under investigation in memory disorders and other neurological conditions. This includes next-generation disease-modifying anti-amyloid therapies in the same class as donanemab and lecanemab, anti-tau agents, and novel therapies like antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs).

Job Duties

  • Lead study team as a Principal or Sub-Investigator, ensuring trials are conducted safely and per protocol
  • Conduct clinical intake interviews to determine medical eligibility of potential study participants
  • Educate potential participants about diseases and the benefits of clinical trial participation
  • Manage the safety of study participants; respond appropriately to adverse events in a timely manner
  • Perform cerebrospinal fluid collection (lumbar puncture) in diagnostic and therapeutic studies
  • Provide medical leadership to our team of psychologists and study coordinators

Job Requirements

  • Valid license to practice medicine in California (or license-eligible)
  • Board-certified in neurology or psychiatry
  • Experience working with older adults in a clinical or research setting
  • Clinical research experience is preferred, but not required
  • A command of professional spoken and written English
