As a New Hire Onboarding Partner on Stripe’s New Hire Programs team (part of the Talent and Development organization), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional onboarding experiences for new Stripes. This role requires extensive facilitation and program management expertise. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with deep experience facilitating in-person sessions and creating an effective and dynamic learning environment in line with Stripe’s mission and operating principles. We are seeking a candidate with experience across all aspects of new hire work, including facilitation, high quality content design, program implementation, effective stakeholder engagement, and strong operational abilities.

About the team

In this role, you’ll be reporting into the New Hire Programs team, a sub-team under the Talent & Development function.

What you’ll doResponsibilities
  • Facilitation Excellence 
    • Prepare for and facilitate new employee onboarding sessions (Stripe 101) live and in-person from our HQ office in South San Francisco approximately every two weeks on Monday-Wednesday, from 7:30 am-5:30 pm. 
    • Employ advanced facilitation techniques for large and small groups to create an interactive and productive learning environment, ensuring participants are actively involved and engaged 
    • Collaborate with business facilitators and ensure delivery preparedness, while providing feedback and recognition
  • Content Delivery and Design 
    • Learn and deliver high-quality presentations while drawing on adult learning principles and best practices in facilitation to ensure information is effectively conveyed and retained
    • Take the lead on regularly adapting and iterating on content in partnership with subject matter experts, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of participants and reflect Stripe’s latest strategy
  • Program Implementation 
    • Partner with coordinators to streamline and execute operations and logistics
    • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to align facilitation efforts with key business objectives and learning goals, ensuring that each session supports Stripe’s broader strategy
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of facilitated sessions through participant feedback and assessment metrics and implement feedback in service of continuous improvement
    • Partner with global facilitator team members to identify and proactively address strategic opportunities 
Who you are

Minimum Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of professional experience facilitating live sessions to audiences of varying seniority
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them in a facilitation context
  • Extensive instructional design experience, building and iterating content in support of business goals with a strong eye for aesthetic design and branding
  • Ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects from initial design to execution and evaluation
  • Experience managing partners and stakeholders to scale program deliveries
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for making complex concepts accessible to participants
  • Strong collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed, and performance-driven environment
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with business leaders and key partners across the organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: demonstrates effective listening, user needs assessment skills with the ability to synthesize data collected and identify the root problem causes and drive resolution.
  • Proven ability to make judgment calls and sound decisions, demonstrating strong accountability, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in support of effective, flawless delivery of content
