Job Description Summary

The Occupancy Strategist provides strategic space and occupancy planning expertise in support of long-term supply and demand planning, real estate strategy, workplace design, space analysis, and space efficiency within a client’s real estate portfolio.

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities
  • Monitor and refresh strategy as needed.
  • Work with Occupancy Planners to create scenarios and long-term strategic planning related to space.
  • Contribute to workplace trends/strategies and future ways of working.
  • Work with Head of Operational Planning, Site Operations, and Portfolio Management to keep strategy updated.
  • Help deliver account core information from the Total Workplace platform.
  • Build or modify foundational strategic vision to drive strategy and commit to metrics that achieve organizational goals.
  • Apply working knowledge and/or experience in the implementation or execution of a strategic plan related to the client’s overall real estate strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal presentation skills and ability to communicate at the executive level.
  • Process work quickly and accurately while managing changing priorities.
  • Interpret and apply policy and procedure effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related discipline or field of study (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate & Facilities Management Planning/Coordination, Facilities, Project, or Construction Management).
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in a corporate real estate environment.
  • Ability to build or modify foundational strategic vision to drive strategy and commit to metrics that achieve organizational goals.
  • Experience in implementation or execution of a strategic plan related to strategy.
  • Strong verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate at the executive level.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term strategic vision.
  • Ability to process work quickly, accurately, and with changing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and apply policy and procedure.
  • Basic understanding of corporate real estate and financial concepts.
  • Strong team player who is adaptable and capable of driving change and change management.
  • Advanced relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Excel.
  • Advanced skills in business intelligence tools (e.g., Triana and Power BI).
  • Advanced skills in Adobe and Microsoft application suites to support role functions and create executive-level presentations.
  • Advanced understanding of CAFM/IWMS systems (Serraview preferred) for space management.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 157,250.00 - $185,000.00
