Office Manager / Executive Assistant

Metriport is an open-source data intelligence platform that helps healthcare organizations access and exchange patient data in real-time. We integrate with all major US healthcare IT systems and tap into comprehensive medical data for 300+ million individuals.

We’ve found product-market fit with multi-million ARR, 100+ customers (including Amazon One Medical, Strive Health, Circle Medical, and Brightside Health), backing from top VCs, and years of runway. We’re ready to scale. We’re a tight-knit, high-performing team of mostly former founders (including two YC alumni). We’re engineering-heavy, operate with minimal bureaucracy and high autonomy, and hire based on competence, not prestige. We push hard—founders work six days a week from our SF office—but give everyone freedom to craft their schedule. We measure output and we’re committed to sustainable intensity.

The Role

We’re looking for a part-time Office Manager / Executive Assistant to keep our SF office running and support our leadership team. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role with direct impact on how we operate day-to-day. You’ll be in our SF office Monday through Friday, working mornings (approximately 4–5 hours/day).

You’ll split your time roughly equally between office operations and executive support with cross-functional opportunities. If you’re energized by building systems from scratch, thrive when no two days look the same, and want a path into People / HR as the company scales—this role was built for you. There’s a clear path to a full-time position for the right person.

What You’ll Do

Office Management

  • Own the SF office experience end-to-end: supplies, snacks, equipment, vendors, and facilities

  • Lead office build-out initiatives as we grow: coordinate with contractors, landlord, and vendors

  • Plan and execute internal events (team offsites, all-hands, celebrations, customer visits)

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for office services

  • Maintain operational docs and processes in Notion; coordinate team communication in Slack and Linear

  • Support onboarding logistics for new hires and assist with People / HR projects over time

Executive Support

  • Manage complex calendars for both leaders: scheduling internal meetings, external calls, and personal appointments across time zones

  • Coordinate domestic travel: flights, hotels, ground transport, and itineraries

  • Track follow-ups, action items, and commitments so nothing falls through the cracks

  • Draft and send communications on behalf of leadership as needed

  • Assist with ad hoc research, vendor outreach, and special projects

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2+ years as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, or similar role at an early-stage startup

  • Presence: Based in San Francisco; available in-office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday mornings)

  • Startup DNA: You’re comfortable with ambiguity, can prioritize across competing demands without hand-holding, and enjoy building things from scratch

  • Organized by default: You maintain clean systems for calendars, tasks, and follow-ups without being reminded

  • Strong communicator: Clear and professional in writing and in-person; comfortable interfacing directly with founders and external partners

  • Proactive: You identify problems before they surface and propose solutions, not just questions

  • Tool-savvy: Proficient with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace; bonus if you’ve used Linear

Preferred: Interest in growing into a People/HR Operations role as Metriport scales

Metriport provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
