Company Overview
Hybron is an advanced manufacturing company that is building lightweight composites at mass production scale. At Hybron, we have pioneered a new composites manufacturing process that enables complex, high-performance composite parts to be produced 10-100 times faster than traditional manufacturing, at a fraction of the cost.
We recently closed an oversubscribed $25M seed round, are backed by the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator, and are rapidly growing to commercialize and mass produce composite products at a scale never seen before. Our current focus is applying our proprietary process to composite artillery shells, solid rocket motor nozzles, gas turbine engine components, and airframes.
If you want to join a rapidly growing company working on cutting edge composites technology while building capabilities for the warfighter and reshoring U.S. manufacturing, then we want to speak with you.
About the Role
This is a full-time, in-person role at our Hawthorne facility. As you will be working at an early-stage deep tech startup, this role will span many different tasks. Along with these high expectations comes the opportunity to significantly influence the development, strategy, and trajectory of a fast-growing startup company. Your work will tangibly impact our company and the composites industry, and you will be able to make rapid professional gains in an environment that encourages growth and innovation.
This is a hands-on role. About half of your time will go to running the office and facility: vendors, supplies, visitors, shipping & receiving, and the systems that keep a growing, security-conscious team productive and compliant. The other half goes to supporting our leadership team: calendars, travel, reservations, expense reports, meetings, notes, filings and the details that let them stay focused on customers, investors, and the team. You’ll report to our CEO and work closely with our leadership team. You’ll also support the company as a whole with company-sponsored events and swag, as well as people functions such as onboarding and offboarding.
This role requires a high-trust, self-starting generalist. You are a great fit if you can operate with autonomy in high-energy, fast-growing companies, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are great at juggling several responsibilities. You excel in prioritizing the important things, and are able to protect focus time on executives’ calendars. If you are highly organized, discreet, and calm under pressure, who take ownership and enjoy building systems in a fast-moving startup, we want you.
What We’re Looking For
  • U.S. Person status pursuant to the EAR and ITAR definitions.
  • 3+ years of experience in office management, executive assistance, or administrative operations, ideally at a startup or in another fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work full-time, Monday–Friday, in person at our Hawthorne facility.
  • Exceptional proactive organization and follow-through: you keep many details moving at once and close every loop.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, knowing what is urgent and what is important.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential, sensitive, and export-controlled information, knowing when to take action and when to ask for clarity.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with employees, executives, vendors, and visitors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, and quick to learn new software.
  • Calm, service-minded, and resourceful under pressure.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience in a defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated environment, including familiarity with ITAR, CMMC, or visitor control.
  • Experience managing facility, IT, or security vendors and service contracts.
  • Accounts payable, bookkeeping, or spend-management tool experience.
  • Event planning experience.

Growth Opportunity and Targets
As you grow with Hybron, your responsibilities are expected to shift and evolve:
  • Build out our workplace as we scale: lead facility expansions and new sites, and own the facilities budget and vendor contracts.
  • Hire and lead a small office and facilities team (front desk, facilities, and admin support) as headcount grows.
  • Extend your support to new executives as the leadership team grows.
  • Take on conference and trade show logistics, including registrations, travel, and shipping booth materials.

Compensation and Schedule
  • $70,000 - $95,000 per year
  • Significant stock options in the company
  • Potential additional compensation
  • Mondays – Fridays in-person

Benefits
  • Paid time off
    • Vacation – 10+ working days per year
    • Sick – 5 working days per year
  • Hybron observes a generous company-official holiday schedule
  • Daily lunches provided by the company
  • 401(k) with employer-matched contributions up to 4% of salary
  • Healthcare benefits
    • Medical insurance – 95% EE, 75% DEP employer contribution
    • Dental insurance – 95% EE, 75% DEP employer contribution
    • Vision insurance – 95% EE, 75% DEP employer contribution
    • Life, short and long-term disability insurance – 100% company covered

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
