Some of the world's most advanced and innovative global enterprise software and tech companies have trouble finding engineering partners that have the ability to perform highly complex deliveries and services that match their rigorous standards. These teams need a partner that can co-own problems from within their own IT, Networking, and Infrastructure environments. Enter EverOps – the premier Embedded Service Provider. We partner directly with our customer engineering and operations teams to help them assess and address a variety of delivery and service related issues.
The ChallengeEverOps is looking for a hands-on Okta IAM Integration Engineer who can hit the ground running to support a high-volume SaaS integration queue. While the technical core of this role involves configuring SSO and SCIM provisioning, the non-obvious challenge lies in collaboration. The majority of your stakeholders will be app owners and business teams with little to no IAM background. You must possess the unique ability to patiently guide them through their side of the implementation—such as creating access groups and understanding role mappings—without assuming they know the technical terminology. Clear, empathetic, and patient communication is just as critical to success in this role as your technical execution.
The MissionAs an Okta IAM Integration Engineer with EverOps, you will join our U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center (your home office), embedding directly with a fast-paced customer team. Your mission is to unblock a high-volume pipeline of enterprise SaaS integrations while strictly adhering to structured change management protocols. You will act as the vital bridge between complex identity infrastructure and non-technical business units, ensuring that security boundaries are maintained without sacrificing organizational agility.
What You’ll Do:Configure SAML 2.0 and OIDC SSO integrations end-to-end, leading technical coordination with third-party vendors.
Set up SCIM 2.0 provisioning and implement group-based Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within Okta.
Create and synchronize target groups utilizing the internal IAM portal.
Deploy Okta application configurations (including SAML/OIDC apps, group patterns, and SCIM) via Terraform within a shared Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repository.
Manage ongoing daily access operations, including provisioning/deprovisioning lifecycles and URI/attribute modifications.
Author, present, and execute Change Advisory Board (CAB) tickets for all production-level modifications.
2–4 years of dedicated Okta administration experience within a corporate IT or enterprise environment.
Deep, practical configuration experience with SAML, OIDC, and SCIM protocols (not just conceptual familiarity).
Proven comfort managing a high-volume ticket queue and balancing multiple concurrent integration projects seamlessly.
Exceptional communication skills: A proven ability to translate complex IAM architecture into simple, actionable steps for non-technical stakeholders without frustration.
Solid experience operating within a structured CAB / change management framework.
Ownership: A customer-focused approach to closing tasks and an unwillingness to let an integration stall out.
Experience with Terraform (specifically the Okta provider); prior exposure to our Terraform-managed Okta environment will significantly accelerate your ramp-up time.
Experience working within fast-paced SaaS companies or startup environments.
Strong desire to learn and adapt to proprietary internal IAM platforms and tools.
