About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Onboarding Coordinator to own and manage the driver onboarding experience end-to-end. In this role, you will oversee our onboarding center, ensuring new drivers are effectively trained, credentialed, and set up for success from day one. You will play a critical role in shaping the early driver experience, coordinating onboarding logistics, managing test drives, and supporting driver performance during their initial weeks with 8Fleet. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a structured, process-driven mindset.

 
 
What You'll Do:
  • Manage the Onboarding Center: Oversee daily operations of the driver onboarding center, ensuring a smooth, professional, and efficient onboarding experience.

  • Driver Onboarding Execution: Ensure all drivers complete onboarding materials, understand company policies, and are fully prepared before starting shifts.

  • System Setup & Hiring: Hire drivers into internal systems, create and manage driver credentials, and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.

  • Operational Reporting: Track onboarding funnel metrics, driver readiness, completion rates, and onboarding quality metrics. Use data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

  • Test Drive Coordination & Management: Schedule, coordinate, and oversee driver test drives, ensuring all drivers meet operational and safety standards.

  • Driver Performance Management (Early Lifecycle): Monitor and support driver performance during their first several weeks, providing feedback, coaching, and escalation when necessary.

  • Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate onboarding schedules, test drives, and training sessions to ensure optimal throughput and minimal delays.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all onboarding processes adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Driver Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for new drivers, answering questions and resolving onboarding-related issues.

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in onboarding workflows and implement improvements to enhance the driver experience and operational efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with operations, fleet, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on driver readiness and onboarding quality.

 
 
Successful Candidates Will Bring:
  • 1–3 years of experience in startups, operations, logistics, HR, or onboarding-related roles.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets, including formulas, filtering, data validation, and reporting.

  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and use data to drive decisions.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong process management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience with ridesharing platforms (Uber, Lyft) is a strong plus.

  • Experience in training, onboarding, or people operations is a plus.

  • Must be comfortable working early morning or late night hours.

 
 
Compensation:
  • Pay: $70,000
    This is a fixed salary for the role.

You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
