What is Recess?
Recess is known as the all-in-one software for fitness studios, gyms, and wellness practices. Our user-intuitive software enables fitness pros to start, run, and grow their businesses. Recess software features cover managing customer memberships, processing payments, scheduling classes, building library content for passive revenue, marketing suite, and more. Built to optimize, its product features automate tedious tasks, saving studios thousands of dollars, including a custom app for each studio. Recess gives fitness entrepreneurs the time and tools to run their businesses effectively and efficiently; thereby making space for studio owners to focus on their ‘why’ —health and wellness.
Your Mission: Onboarding at Recess
It is an exciting time to be on the Onboarding Team at Recess. The Recess team is growing and joining the team now would put you at the forefront of reshaping the fitness industry in the next few months and years.
You would be a part of a high-performing team that is driven by our mission to make life fun and healthy by providing innovative, simple products that inspire limitless growth. We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Onboarding Manager, responsible for managing new clients through the set up and adoption of the Recess platform.
This role has opportunities to grow within the Customer Experience organization as Recess continues to grow and mature. If you're looking to make an impact at a high growth start up, this is the right role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and implement the customer onboarding process of Recess. Address customer issues and concerns in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure onboardings are well-planned, executed efficiently, and delivered with high quality and predictability.
- Identify significant risks and unknowns, and define and drive resolution plans.
- Manage cross team dependencies, and coordinate cross-team initiatives and blocking issues.
- Manage project tracking, metrics and status reporting for the onboarding org
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and sales processes
- Build strong, strategic relationships with stakeholders to understand evolving goals and challenges
- Maintain a deep understanding of the Recess platform to effectively address customer concerns.
- Meet and exceed key performance metrics, including onboarding completion and speed
- Work remotely with travel for strategic on-site engagements
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a customer success or onboarding role.
- Strong verbal and written communication, especially in the areas of teamwork, stakeholder management, and ability to influence.
- Experience in overseeing multiple complex projects with a proven track record of on-time and in-scope project completion
- Experience implementing SaaS solutions is a plus
- A passion for transformation, innovation, and learning new technologies (such as AI) - especially in the fitness space
- Strong desire to work in a high-growth startup.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
