Position Overview

We are seeking two experienced Onsite Lab IT Support Specialists to support scientific laboratories within pharmaceutical drug research and manufacturing environments. The successful candidates will provide hands-on technical support for laboratory instruments, scientific applications, and associated computing infrastructure while ensuring compliance with GxP, data-integrity, validation, and change-control requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite support for laboratory IT infrastructure, scientific applications, instrument workstations, and peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), particularly Chromeleon.
  • Support laboratory instruments such as HPLC systems and their integration with CDS and instrument-control software.
  • Diagnose and resolve instrument-software, workstation, network-connectivity, application, and peripheral issues.
  • Stage, image, configure, deploy, and maintain laboratory PCs for scientific and instrument-related use.
  • Support interfaces and workflows involving Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN).
  • Perform support activities in accordance with GxP regulations, data-integrity principles, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Follow Computer System Validation (CSV), change-control, incident-management, and documentation processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, configurations, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Work closely with scientists, laboratory personnel, Quality Assurance, manufacturing teams, vendors, and other IT support groups.
  • Communicate technical issues, risks, and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with instrument and software vendors when advanced troubleshooting or escalation is required.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications and Experience
  • Hands-on experience supporting IT systems in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, or another regulated laboratory environment.
  • Experience supporting scientific instrument software and laboratory computing infrastructure.
  • Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting CDS platforms such as Chromeleon.
  • Familiarity with HPLC and other laboratory instruments, including their connection to CDS or instrument-control applications.
  • Working knowledge of GxP regulations and pharmaceutical data-integrity requirements.
  • Experience staging, imaging, configuring, and deploying laboratory workstations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across scientific applications, instrument connectivity, operating systems, networks, and PC hardware.
  • Understanding of LIMS and ELN platforms and their role in laboratory workflows.
  • Understanding of Computer System Validation and formal change-control processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with scientists, Quality Assurance teams, vendors, and end users.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a dedicated GxP laboratory IT support role.
  • Experience working in customer-facing or end-user support positions.
  • Familiarity with incident, problem, and change-management practices.
  • Experience producing or maintaining validation and regulated-system documentation.
