If you possess strong critical thinking skills, composure under pressure, and a deep understanding of logistics supply chains, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

    Risk Identification & Crisis Management:

  • Identify, assess, and analyze operational risks associated with daily logistics activities, including transportation accidents, cargo theft, and warehousing disputes.

  • Lead negotiations on high-stakes incidents, including hostage loads and tow negotiations, to minimize financial impact and operational delay.

  • Strategy & Compliance:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to reduce the likelihood of recurring issues.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strict compliance with federal laws, insurance requirements, and regulations related to logistics activities.

  • Audit operational risk records regularly to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

  • Analysis & Education:

  • Analyze historical data to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of operational risk events.

  • Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on risk management best practices.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to heighten risk awareness across the organization.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the risk workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in operational risk management, claims adjusting, or logistics operations.
  • Logistics Expertise: Strong knowledge of transportation operations, carrier vetting, and insurance protocols.
  • Crisis Management: Proven ability to handle high-stress situations (e.g., hostage loads) with professional judgment.
  • Analytical Mindset: Robust risk analysis skills with the ability to spot trends in complex data.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of accounting processes and how operational risk impacts the bottom line.
  • Autonomy: Solid work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
